My mission is to provide you with the most powerful and practical tools available to help you create a life that you’re ecstatic about.
Having grown up in Rhode Island, I was surrounded by people who pronounced the letter “R” in as many different variations as Baskin Robbins has ice cream flavors.
Besides its distinct accent and the popular television cartoon series The Family Guy, Rhode Island is also well-known for its history of nonconformity. It was the first state to prohibit slavery and the first to declare independence from British rule.
You could say the biggest little state in the union has been bucking the system since George Washington was found sitting under an apple tree.
You may be asking yourself, “What is this, a history lesson? I thought this guy was going to teach me some personal growth strategies?!” Well, one step at a time.
It’s important for you to understand where my roots are laid, as that reflects how I’ve lived my life and my current working methods. Perhaps because of my roots in Rhode Island, I rarely make it to the proverbial “fork in the road.” I usually begin paving my own path through life’s forest long before I need to make that choice.
Not that many years ago, life served me up a heaping helping of challenge that was enough to make me really look at my priorities.
During the financial crisis of 2008, I lost most of my money in the stock market crash. I was a half million dollars in debt and had a twenty-five thousand dollar invoice from the IRS hanging over my head.
In just eighteen months, I was forced to move ten times, having to rely on friends to support me while I got back on my feet.
This book was just where it was when I got to the house the next day
Just when I thought things couldn’t get any worse, a house fire at one of the homes I was staying claimed almost everything I owned.
Misfortune didn’t stop there. During this same time, I had three car break-ins, an identity theft, various unknown health challenges and foreclosure of my home, which I had worked so hard to acquire.
It felt as though life were testing me on every possible level, from relationships to health to finances to just having a roof over my head.
Fortunately, even in the face of all these challenges, I never gave up. I had more than a couple dark moments, but somewhere deep inside I knew there must be a way out from underneath the rock that had been trying its best to pin me down.
It was in the depths of my greatest struggles that I gained a crystal clear vision of my purpose in life. I recommitted myself to learning and developing new strategies to create the life that I knew was possible for me again.
As I began integrating these new methods, my life finally turned the corner to a brighter future. My finances came back online, I found a new home, my work had much more meaning, and, like the lotus flower emerging from the mud, my life began to blossom once again.
However, the true magic really started unfolding when I began sharing my proven strategies with private clients and course participants. Witnessing the success of others made it clear to me that all the hardships I had endured had taught me the most profound life lessons. It had also given me my purpose.
I now know exactly what my purpose is.
I now know exactly why I’m here.
And I now know exactly what fans the flames of passion for me.
I have found my life’s work.
And I’m dedicated to assisting you to overcome your perceived obstacles and empowering you to create a life you’re ecstatic about.
How do I know I can help?
Because for the past fifteen years I’ve been wholeheartedly engaged in personal growth. From facilitating, to developing, to staffing, to organizing, and participating in these trainings I’ve played all of the roles.
Along with learning from the best, I’ve also developed and integrated the proven strategies that created such a dramatic transformation in my own life and others.
I look forward to collaborating and sharing your successes with you.
With deep love and appreciation,
A Little More History and Credentials ...
You could say my journey of self-discovery began in my mid-twenties, when I left my job as a leading sales rep for a Fortune 100 company.
Shortly after leaving my position, I moved across the country to a small city in northern Arizona. I began attending my first intensive personal development trainings and soon realized that I was officially hooked.
Soon after, I was staffing these same trainings and serving on the board of directors for Spectrum Trainings, an organization that was committed to the kind of work I was most passionate about. Since then, I have continued to immerse myself in transformational growth and personal development.
Along the way, as I sought out the best mentors, I asked myself some questions that ended up leading me right to them.
Why watch YouTube videos of Peruvian shamanic ceremonies when I could trek to the ruins of Machu Picchu and work with true shamans myself?
Why thumb through award-winning books written by world-renowned teachers like James O’Dea when I could organize and participate in personal growth intensives facilitated by James himself?
Working with these masters in their field has not only given me knowledge and experience; it’s also provided me with the best tools to do my work and overcome my own personal challenges.
Since those early days, I’ve been coaching as well as participating in, organizing and facilitating trainings around the U.S., Europe, and Central and South America.
From the rain-forests of Costa Rica, to the Sierra Blanca peaks of Peru, to the castles of France, to the Basque country of Spain, to the great healers of Brazil, to the volcanoes of Hawaii—it has been a long and winding trek both inside and out.
My quest always continues, not just from working with private clients and course participants, but also by continuing to do my personal work. I’m always practicing what I already know, while studying the latest research on creating change, neuroscience, and opening our hearts to a new us.
